The project develops transmission electron microscopy (TEM) towards the chemical analysis of frozen liquids in mesoporous matrices. To this end, electron tomography is progressed by methods of low dose imaging and compressed sensing to finally become applicable to beam sensitive organic materials. The goal is to obtain tomographic information even from metal organic or covalently bonded frame works. The chemical analysis of the TEM will be exploited to analyse the transport in mesoporous structures and to derive transport coefficients in dependence on the geometry and functionalization of the pore structure.
