Based on the previous successful implementation of a stability analysis procedure the 3rd funding period is dedicated to its further validation and extension. Thereto the overall process of linear stability analysis is applied to the TP C7 BKD test case. Flame transfer functions are validated separately by means of flame radiation, and the modelling depth necessary to obtain reliable flame models is determined. The method is extended to account for nonlinearities e.g. in flame dynamics and acoustic propagation. The scope of ap-plication is extended towards methane engines and global driving and damping mechanisms are studied. In addition, support for TP C7 test campaigns and the development of virtual engine demonstrators is given.
