400 MHz NMR-Spektrometer

Subject Area Molecular Chemistry
Term Funded in 2022
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 495400214

The application is for a 400 MHz NMR spectrometer for routine operation for processing corresponding 5mm NMR samples in solution. The main probe head to be used with Z-gradient and automatic tuning must be broadband tunable (at least in the ranges including the resonance frequencies of the cores 31P and 199Hg as well as 17O and 109Ag). In order to be able to measure with high sensitivity 13C (especially in the frequent case at the TUC of quaternary carbons) and less sensitive hetero nuclei (especially 15N in mainly heterocyclic systems), the broadband coil should be inside. The outer coil should be designed for 1H and 19F and enable the (also simultaneous) decoupling of both cores. Deuterium is to be anticipated as the core for the lock. Measurements should also be able to be carried out at a temperature of up to 150 ° C. An auto sampler with 60 places is supposed to ensure continuous operation day and night as far as possible. In order to be able to carry out short, selected 2D measurements (e.g. 1H, 1H-COZY and 1H, 13C-HSQC) in addition to approx. 6000 proton measurements per year and an additional approx. 15000 carbon-based spectra, non-uniform sampling ( NUS) including the corresponding processing.
