This is the first application submitted by the University of Cologne/University Hospital Cologne in the DFG funding programme "Open Access Publication Funding". The aim is to centralise monitoring, funding and advice on all aspects of OA publishing and to use the requested funds to establish an OA publication fund that can be accessed by researchers from all six faculties. A permanent and reliable OA infrastructure will support researchers in financing publication fees with the aim of further improving the visibility of the research performance of the University of Cologne and the University Hospital Cologne.
