The publication of research results in digital open access format along the current rules of Open-Access is highly recommended at the University of Applied Sciences Neubrandenburg. In the past years we have established a number of rules and frameworks in order to promote open access publication, e.g. we have agreed on an open-access-policy, we joined the Berlin Declaration, we took part in the DEAL-transformation contracts, and, we have established an open-access-publication fund. We believe that these activities contribute to an increase of open-access-publication activities at our University and we hope that thereby also the general acceptance of open publication formats will grow.The main objective of our project is to push the open access activities forward. This will be done by establishing a standardized open access publication monitoring and by conducting University members in developing effective processes. This will generate the necessary transparency in order to configure future budgets and financial structures. All activities will be executed in tight collaboration with all relevant University units (all faculties, financial division, research division and so on). Moreover, we willutilize all digitalization potentials that support meta data standardization, consulting services (e.g. the use of ORCID, CC-BY-license). Networking inside and outside the University is intended. In particular, we focus on best-practice examples of other institutions of comparable dimension.
