Project Details
Dynamik in und mit mesoporösen Nanostrukturen (B06+)
Subject Area
Physical Chemistry of Molecules, Liquids and Interfaces, Biophysical Chemistry
Term
from 2007 to 2015
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 27112786
In this project we study the dynamics of molecules in the context of mesoporous structures. In the first part we will develop new mesoporous channel structures and study the physical and chemical dynamics of biologically active guest molecules. The second part deals with mesoporous nanocarrier systems. Here, we will take advantage of the multitude of options to functionalize mesoporous silica nanoparticles we have established so far and study the dynamics of their interactions with living cells. In addition we will develop new concepts for the light-induced synchronized release of bioactive molecules in cells and for controlling intracellular signaling cascades.
