The spin states of molecules on crystal surfaces will be investigated with scanning tunnelling microscopy and spectroscopy at cryogenic temperatures and high magnetic fields. Specifically, we will address remote switching within single molecules, and spin crossover induced by electrons or forces including the exchange force.
