The proposed research project aims to reconstruct and model the morphology (i.e., the form) of the feeding apparatus of selected groups of fossil tetrapods (terrestrial four-limbed vertebrates) to conclude their feeding behaviour and the evolution of feeding within the early tetrapods. These conclusions should be based on form-function relationships derived from my studies on the feeding behaviour of recent salamanders and published data on amniotes' feeding behaviour and taking into account the respective group's lifestyle and development.
