Project Details
Empathokinaesthetic Sensor Technology for Biofeedback in Depressed Patients (D02)
Subject Area
Personality Psychology, Clinical and Medical Psychology, Methodology
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 442419336
The project D02 aims to assess indicators of depression-relevant kinesthesia in clinically-depressed and healthy individuals with the help of empathokinaesthetic sensors and innovative machine learning technology and to relate these indicators to depressive symptoms. Additionally, we will investigate the effects of experimentally manipulating kinesthesia on depressive symptom severity. Thereby, we will clarify to what extent depressed symptoms can be automatically assessed with the help of body surface recordings and to what extent the efficacy of cognitive interventions techniques can be augmented by systematically modulating kinesthetic information.
