Project Details
A massively parallel Spectrometer for fundamental Physics Tests
Subject Area
Optics, Quantum Optics and Physics of Atoms, Molecules and Plasmas
Term
Funded in 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 459728100
We have created an experimental program that includes parallel optical spectroscopy of different types of atoms. The experiments are carried out with the large-scale device, which we want to assemble with the help of the components from this conveying. The large-scale unit is a state-of-the-art optical broadband spectrometer forAbsorption spectroscopy of atoms and molecules. It consists of an optical frequency comb with high broadband and repeat rate and a two-dimensional spectrometer. With the expected results of the planned experiments, we want to improve the wealth of available data on atoms, especially in complex systems such as rare earths, actinides and molecules. In addition, we plan to solve various problems in precise basic research with atomic and molecular probes.
