The prediction of scour and refilling processes in the vicinity of offshore megastructures is essential for the safe design of foundations. The subproject A04 focuses on achieving an improved understanding and the development of predictions for scour through physical and numerical modelling, analysis and evaluation of wave-flow-ground interactions in the vicinity of a structure. This will enable predicting the necessity and evaluating the effectiveness of scour protection measures.
