We study the quantum cooperative effects in the linear and nonlinear optical response of helical metafilms. By engineering the metafilms, we aim to achieve high values of the second-order nonlinear susceptibility. This susceptibility will be used to generate pairs of entangled photons through spontaneous parametric down-conversion. By spatially modulating the metafilm properties, we will tailor the entanglement of photon pairs, including orbital angular momentum (OAM) entanglement.
