A08 will investigate multiple stressor impacts on benthic invertebrate communities and taxon-specific traits in ExStream experiments and link these to changes in organic matter (CPOM) decom-position. It will assess individual and combined effects of increased temperature, salinity and re-duced flow on the invertebrate community using automatic image-based taxon recognition and biomass estimation. It will further analyse all counted and measured benthic invertebrates using DNA metabarcoding and assess degradation of CPOM under multiple stressor increase and release.
