We apply for a high-end flow cytometer with at least 30 channels to improve our methodology and advance our research programmes, which currently consist of the CRC841, the CRU306 and several singular projects. Such a device is needed to perform in-depth phenotypical and functional analyses of various immune cell populations. Several optimized multicolor immunofluorescence panels (OMIPs) applying over 30 channels are already published and can readily built on. Such device will enable us to analyse inflammatory responses in various liver diseases, but also the physiological immune tolerance of the liver. These analyses are essential to advance our understanding of hepatic immune regulation, to develop novel therapies for inflammatory diseases and for innovative research activities.
