Dendritic cells (DCs) provide a crucial interface between innate and adaptive immunity. During obesity, immune responses are dysregulated. Dendritic cell development has been shown to be regulated by external cues, however, the impact of obesity and the role of DCs in adipose tissues remains elusive. This project aims to decipher the functional and developmental impact and the molecular regulators of DC development and function during short and long-term obesity. These results will enable us to understand the role of dendritic cells during obesity and its associated comorbidities better.
