Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 426888090
This project aims at tracking and correlating the structure and activity of oxide-supported metals under steady and transient reaction conditions. For this purpose, operando X-ray absorption/emission and IR spectroscopy complemented by in situ TEM will be applied to investigate selected catalysts based on Pt, Pd and Pt-Pd nanoparticles deposited on well-defined CeO2, TiO2, and Al2O3 supports under emission control reaction conditions. The complementary techniques will elucidate the impact of fluctuations in the gas feed and temperature on the sintering behavior, oxidation/reduction, redispersion processes, morphology changes of nanoparticles and segregation processes in bimetallic systems.
