Term

Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 422681845
This project aims to develop non-invasive magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of inflammation with non-myocyte specific molecular imaging contrast agents, intravascular high-resolution MRI of coronary vessel walls, and interventional real-time MRI-guided coronary intervention with implantation of scaffolds or drug eluting stents for sealing of inflamed pla¬ques in a pig model. Furthermore, P15 will characterise downstream myocardial inflammation and its heterocellular interactions after MI, caus¬ed by catheter-based coronary artery occlusion. These tools will be used to explore temporal progression of in vivo lesion dynamics and of res¬ponses to intervention.
