Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 278162697
The project aims at insights into the elementary steps of charge carrier and exciton dynamics in transition metal dichalcogenides and their heterostructures. Electron dynamics across interfaces with solid or liquid ad-layers and in momentum space forming valley polarization are in the focus. Molecules are either ad-sorbed as a layer under ultrahigh vacuum conditions or form a liquid in an electrochemical cell. The electron dynamics will be initiated by optical excitation and various methods of non-linear optical pump-probe spectroscopy will be employed to follow vibrational and electron dynamics.
