Project Details
2D Heterostructures from Microfluidically Exfoliated Quantum Materials (A05)
Subject Area
Solid State and Surface Chemistry, Material Synthesis
Term
since 2020
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 417590517
The project will focus on transferring the liquid exfoliation process to a continuous microfluidic device to gain better control over the size, thickness, and homogeneity of the 2DMs and avoid agglomeration without the use of surfactants. In direct combination with printing techniques, thin particle layers with defined thickness and morphology shall be generated. Subsequent chemical and physical investigation will provide information on whether a coherent topologically conductive state can be achieved.
