Ultrasonic drives are one research area of the IKFF. Especially the excitation of standing waves with vibrating piezo ceramics, including friction pins looks very promising to generate elliptical trajectories. The hemispherical structural shape of the piezo ceramics is under analysis to design multidimensional resonators, by varying the piezo electric material and geometry optimization, to achieve very strong and compact drives for XYPhi-directions. The contact free measurement and movement analysis of the friction pin should be performed with the requested Laser-Doppler-Scanning-Vibrometer.
