Project Details
Vitamin D induces a dynamic and celltype-specific modulation of the 3D- chromatin structure
Applicant
Dr. Sabine Seuter
Subject Area
Anatomy and Physiology
Term
from 2020 to 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 437173059
This project aims to prove that the insulation of DNA loci by CTCF is the basis for a context-dependent vitamin D signaling. Modern, state- of-the art methods like HiChIP, ChIPmentation, RNA-seq, RIME and CRISPR/Cas9 will be used for this approach. The main objective is to study the extent to which the situation- and tissue-specific gene regulation by vitamin D is determined or modulated by the insulator function of CTCF.
