The objective of A02 is to target the process design for the continuous, scalable synthesis of indium phosphidezinc sulphide core-shell nanoparticles with optimised fluorescence, now focusing on optimised particles with anisotropic shape. We will unravel the formation dynamics and subsequent shell formation by characterising size and shape evolution over time, correlate this data with online spectroscopy measurements and combine it with population balance modelling including protection against uncertainties. Finally, we will set up a continuous demonstrator process with online control for generating anisotropic InP/ZnS core-shell nanorods directly coupled to chromatographic separation.
