We will demonstrate that the CV-screening of supramolecular halide receptors with titanocene complexes is an attractive predictive method for novel electrochemical or chemical syntheses of enantiomerically pure titanocene(III) complexes. We will probe the performance of these complexes in a number of catalytic pertinent reactions. The method should be of interest for other complexes, too. Therefore, it will be expanded to other titanium(III) catalysts. Investigations with other low-valent metal complexes are long-term goals to be pursued after the realization of this project.
