Project Details
Proteolytic modulation of intestinal CD4 T helper cell function and immune homeostasis (B15#)
Subject Area

Term
from 2019 to 2022
Project identifier

We will analyze the role of ADAM10/17/Notch activation in mouse and human intestinal Thcells. We focus in particular on the molecular regulation of IL-22 and its anti-inflammatoryand regenerative functionality. We will identify signaling pathways and transcriptionalprograms that regulate IL-22 expression and memory. In a new human-relevant model ofcommensal C. albicans colonization in mice, we investigate the role of ADAM & Notch andIL-22 in the antigen-specific regulation of mucosal homeostasis and inflammation.
