Digitization of medieval manuscripts of the "Bibliothek des Geistlichen Ministeriums" (parish St. Nikolai) and the University Library of Greifswald

In a cooperative project, the St. Nikolai Cathedral Community in Greifswald and the Greifswald University Library are planning the digitization of a total of 144 volumes with a total of 63,730 pages.In a joint DFG project, the manuscripts of the library of the Geistliches Ministerium, the University Library and the University Archive Greifswald were catalogued for the database Manuscripta Mediaevalia between 2001 and 2006. These preliminary works can be used for the digitization project, whereby the development expenditure is substantially reduced. The digitization and metadata acquisition will take place in the Digitisation Centre of the Greifswald University Library.
