Standing and moving pulses in periodic media (A10)

We are studying dispersive systems in periodic media and on periodic metric graphs. We are interested in the existence and non-existence of localized structures, such as time-periodic standing pulses or quasiperiodic moving modulating pulses. We will be using variational methods as well as spatial dynamics, invariant manifold theory, normal form transformations, and dispersive decay estimates.
