Subject Area

Term
since 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 403041268
Kosi and Gassen (B02) study the role of transparency in private firm settings. They posit that private firms vary in type along their business life cycle and that also the role of private firm transparency likely varies along this dimension. Their proposed work packages follow this life cycle notion to provide a holistic picture of private firm transparency. In particular, they examine the role of accounting in startup firms, analyze how financial and nonfinancial information affects the labor market and the hunt for talent, investigate the relationship between transparency and sustainable innovations, and study the role of private firm transparency in the insolvency process.
