The overall objective of subproject C03 continues in the second funding period with research into the highly adaptable joining process through the use of adaptable auxiliary joining elements. To this end, the robustness and adaptability of the substantial subprocesses of the thermomechanical joining process (the forming of the auxiliary joining elements and the setting process itself) are to be improved and expanded in complementary theoretical and experimental work.
