Term
since 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 418701707
The focus of the project will be on increasing the versatility and adapting the joining of planar semi-finished products by means of pin structures to extend the process limits. For this purpose, a combined experimental-numerical approach will be used to investigate load- and material-adapted multi-pin structures in order to be able to react to changing material properties and load collectives. In addition, an adaptation of the joining process is investigated, which reduces the process chain of caulking by using the pin structure as a hole-forming element. Finally, the joints will be characterised mechanically, by computer tomography and by micrographs.
