The pseudokinases NRBP1/2 form several different subassemblies among them association with mTORC1, but also with components that regulate the retrotransposon LINE-1. We found that the interaction with NRBP1 and NRBP2 affect retrotransposition in opposite ways. We aim to investigate these antagonistic roles of NRBP1/2 subcomplexes and identify the mechanisms how these interactions control the spatio-temporal dynamics in the LINE-1 retrotransposition cycle.
