To design effective and efficient visualizations, it is essential to understand if and how the user perceives presented information. We aim to find a measure for a user's comprehension of visual information. We will experimentally research approaches to quantify information intake and comprehension of visual content that is presented on mixed reality devices. By using physiological sensing and machine learning, we will create predictive computational models. We envision that with these models we will be able to predict the required duration for information intake and comprehension and hence quantify the effectiveness of visualizations to communicate information.
