The proposal summarizes the current requirements for scientific high-performance The proposal summarizes the current requirements for scientific high-performance computing in the newly founded Research Center for Scientific Computing at the University of Bayreuth, which will be achieved by the expansion of the HPC-Key Lab by a new, powerful Linux cluster.Specifically, the new Linux cluster will conduct computationally intensive research projects in the fields of electronic structure and dynamics, marketing and innovation, simulation and modeling of biofluids, and electronic excitations in light-converting systems.
