The Teufelsbrücke was excavated by Rudolf Feustel in 1970-72. The assemblage of this cave site consists of 24000 lithic artefacts, several thousand animal bones, approx. 400 bone and antler tools, 200 rocks as well as portable art. After a revision of portable art (Wüst 1998), the lithics and radiometric data (Bock et al. 2017), the antler points (Pfeifer in prep.) the faunal remains will be investigated. The aims of this research are the revision of the animal species, the stratigraphy, the processes responsible for presence of bones, their chronstratigraphic position, seasonal occupation, taphonomy and operation chains.
