Our quantitative polarimetry-based precipitation estimators will be extended to light and frozen precipitation. We will extend further our space-time precipitation modeling by fully exploiting polarimetric radar information including commercial microwave links, and perform a comprehensive quantification of uncertainties. To this end, we will set up a simulated environment with TerrSysMP including a polarimetric forward operator in which variables like drop size distribution or precipitation are known, and thus allow to evaluate methods for precipitation estimation and uncertainty quantification.
