Past Futures will consider what impact the history of past development interventions is having on the reception of and engagement with current initiatives in the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA) that now binds five countries together in a shared scheme for land management and conservation development. A02 will study the history and evolution of projects in the field of rural development, covering projects ranging from those designed to extend conservation and develop tourism, to those intended to bring either wealth from cash crops or food security from expanded cultivations.
