In subproject B9 N, model-based methods for the integrated design of thermomorphic multicom-ponent systems (TMS) and separation processes are developed in order to recover efficiently homo-geneous catalysts and solvents from product mixtures of the considered example reactions (hydro-formylation, reductive amination, hydroaminomethylation). From this design task strongly nonlinear mixed integer optimization problems result that are to be solved be use of methods from determinis-tic global optimization. Besides economic criteria also ecological aspects are taken into account.
