We study magnonic and spin-polarized currents accompanying lattice deformation, piezoelectric or magnetoelectric laser-induced excitations. Spin-orbit and spin-transfer torques are used to induce, couple and steer spin waves in magnetic multilayers with a strong-orbit coupling. For spintronic THz emitters, we study the roles of geometry, topology and material composition in determining the vectorial structure, wave front phase, and the focusing of the near and far fields. We perform quantum dynamic simulations of spins and charge driven by the generated near fields. We use tools from laser physics, near-field optics, micromagnetics and spatiotemporal quantum evolution.
