Göttingen University established its own publication fund in 2012 to enable its researchers to publish in genuine Open Access journals that provide all their content free of charge. The University’s fund supports authors without a publishing budget of their own. The Göttingen State and University Library (SUB Göttingen) administrates the fund. The fund’s resources come from the following organizations the Open Access Grant Program of the German Research Foundation (DFG), a supplementary fund from the University Medical Centre of Göttingen University and a supplementary fund from the Göttingen State and University Library (SUB Göttingen).
