The main goal of this project is the analytic analysis of currents on twisted-pair transmission lines in frequency domain. For this purpose the asymptotic approach and an iterative method, which were developed for straight wires, shall be generalized for twisted-pair wires. Thus, high frequency effects are included in the analytic solution. The results will be used to gain insight into the differences in the complex resonant frequencies of twisted-pair wires with those of equivalent straight wires. The general understanding of the electromagnetic behaviour of twisted-pair wires will be expanded due to this project.
