Tuebingen University is an outstanding research university with more than 5.000 publications per year, and a high information demand. The University is committed to the Open Access concept. She demands for free and unimpeded access to the research results of its scientists to the public, and recommends its scientists to publish their results digitally and according to the principles of Open Access. The Senate adopted an Open Access Policy1 on 1.02.2013. The issue has been discussed more broadly in a newsletter. The University has launched a publication fund for open access publishing. This is part of the open access strategy of the university, which also covers other aspects:- hosting of open access e-journals,- hosting of second (green) publications,- University Bibliography as a proofing system of university publications and at the same time access to the hosted OA publications- raising for publications and advice for authors.The publication fund is managed by the university library. An employee of the UB is responsible for the now established application and approval procedures, the memberships in societies and the university bibliography with data import and reporting.In order to further develop the Open Access strategy within the framework of the Golden Route, it therefore requests the continuation of the federation.
