Project Details
Nuclear Pore Complex (NPC) alterations and functional implications in hepatocarcinogenesis (B04)
Subject Area
Pathology
Term
from 2017 to 2018
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 314905040
Project B04 (Singer; Nuclear Pore Complex (NPC) alterations and functional implications in hepatocarcinogenesis) has previously shown that components of the nuclear pore complex are not simple gates for nucleo-cytoplasmic transport but specifically regulate key tumor-relevant factors, such as p53. The proposed project will provide a comprehensive description of liver cancer associated changes in nuclear pore composition and their mechanistic consequences for oncogenic and tumor-suppressive pathways.
