The project investigates data assimilation to dynamical cognitive models. With the increasing interest in dynamical models of cognition, the evaluation of models against time-ordered data must be established in the field. The focus of the current project is on dynamical models of eye-movement control including reading and scene perception. In addition to model development, we will investigate different approximations of their likelihood functions and develop efficient methods for data assimilation and model comparison.
