Project Details
The plasticity-dependent spatiotemporal organization of AMPARs and scaffolding proteins (C01)
Subject Area

Term
since 2017
Project identifier

Long-term changes of the synaptic strength play a fundamental role in shaping the behaviorally relevant dynamics of neuronal networks. In the first funding period, we developed a theoretical model of AMPA receptor trafficking in the postsynaptic site, considering a fixed network of scaffolding proteins. In the second funding period, we plan to extend our analysis to the plasticity-dependent, spatiotemporal dynamics of AMPA receptors interacting with diffusible scaffolding proteins, in a dynamic postsynaptic density.
