Project Details
Spin-orbit effects in the supercurrent response of superconducting heterostructures and Josephson junctions (B08)
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
since 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 314695032
We propose to investigate the magnetic response of heterostructure composed of thin superconduct-ing films deposited on semiconductors or semimetals with strong spin-orbit inter-action (SOI). The temperature dependence and possible anisotropies of the superfluid stiffness will be determined. We will further study the effect of the SOI individual Josephson junctions and Josephson networks that are based on proximity coupling through crystals with strong SOI, and image the supercurrent distribution using scanning Hall microscopy.
