Inhomogeneous phases at high density will investigate inhomogeneous chiral condensates, extend these studies to homogeneous and inhomogeneous diquark condensates, and investigate their mutual competition. We use lattice field theory and the functional renormalization group to study QCD-inspired effective models such as the NJL and the quark-meson model. We will minimize the full effective action in mean-field approximation and explore the impact of quantum and thermal fluctuations on the formation of inhomogeneous condensates. We will study how inhomogeneous phases depend on quark masses, strangeness, and isospin chemical potentials. We will also investigate the competition between color superconductivity and inhomogeneous chiral phases.
