The project is to write a scholarly commentary to Jeremiah 1-25, in close collaboration with Professor Dr. Carolyn J. Sharp, Yale University, who will comment on Jeremiah 26-52. Both volumes will be released in German and English in the International Exegetical Commentary to the Old Testament (IECAT) series edited by an international team of experts and published by Kohlhammer-Verlag Stuttgart. This new commentary series aims at a scholarly commentary to the Masoretic Text, which offers a dialogue between different traditions of scholarship and a prolific connection of different methods. Its main feature is the interlinkage of both synchronic and diachronic perspectives in the analysis of texts (http://www.iekat.de/appEN/nav_home.php). For the first time, new hermeneutical perspectives such as feminist hermeneutics, postcolonial theories and aspects of trauma research will be included into the interpretation of the book of Jeremiah.
