The subproject develops methods for the integrated optimization of the process chain based on simulations and experiments of the CRC. The task is the minimization of the manufacturing costs subject to the compliance with the requirements. The generic approach is motivated by strong interactions between the process steps. The interactions are considered by means of a novel coordination heuristic. For the software-based coupling of the process steps and the documentation of the results, a generic and extensible description scheme for interlinked production systems is developed and implemented.
