Project Details
Visualisation of Biomolecules' Dynamic and Complex Properties (D04)
Subject Area
Image and Language Processing, Computer Graphics and Visualisation, Human Computer Interaction, Ubiquitous and Wearable Computing
Term
from 2007 to 2018
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 17546514
Subproject D.4 will extend the development of novel visualization and analysis tools for proteins to other biomolecules in order to support the projects in section C. Here, a large amount of data is generated by simulations of large ensembles and the usage of explicit solvent models. For a comprehensive analysis, aggregation and comparative visualizations will be used to obtain reduced representations of these data. The correlation of similar data sets allows drawing conclusions about the functionality of the biomolecules and helps to classify large numbers of data sets. Here, a visualization of the physico-chemical properties is important, which also influenced by ambient factors like the solvent.
