The proposed project aims to develop methods for species delimitation based on networks to consider gene flow in species delimitation and to improve approaches that can combine different kinds of data (morphological, genomic, geographical, ecological) in an integrative taxonomy. We will generate ddRAD data to resolve the taxonomy of species-rich land snail radiations in Indonesia, to understand the causes of these radiations and to evaluate methods for species delimitation. In addition, we will generate ddRAD data for a beetle radiation for which data of universal single-copy orthologs obtained by target DNA enrichment already exists, in order to directly compare the advantages and disadvantages of both laboratory methods for the generation of markers for species delimitation in a collaborative subproject.
