Determination of neutrino mass with KATRIN ((04) N04)

The goal of N04 is to perform a direct neutrino mass measurement with low sub-eV sensitivity, based on the upcoming high-statistics data of the KATRIN experiment. 1) We will provide key inputs to the beamline’s electromagnetic field calibration and background mitigation. 2) We will perform the high-level neutrino mass analysis with our established tools and explore novel strategies based on Neural Networks. 3) We will confront the obtained results with other neutrino observables obtained within this CRC and beyond.
